Mary Ann Cook, 80, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024 at The Laurels in Wayland, Michigan. She was a fiercely loving wife, mother and sister and is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas; daughter, Jennifer (Josh); brother, Biff (DeVona); sister, Teresa (Michael); and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mary Ann earned her degree in Education and her Masters in Library Science from Western Michigan University. She taught in the Hopkins School System for 38 years. She was a dedicated educator who touched the lives of countless students.

A celebration of Mary Ann's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Greater Michigan Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association at http://act.alz.org/goto/MaryAnn_Cook

Mary Ann loved reading, spending time in her flower garden, and meeting animals of all types, especially horses and dogs. Mary Ann will be remembered for her passion for teaching and her love for her family.
