of Plainwell, formerly of Allegan, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Mr. Germain was born February 21, 1916, in Allegan, the son of George and Florence (Kelly) Germain. Martin worked for over 30 years at Rockwell and also farmed all his life. Surviving are his 5 children; Linda and George Kelly of Parchment, James and Patricia Germain, William and Joan Germain, Brenda and Larry Wesseling, and Janice and Ervin Madison all of Allegan, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Doris Reynolds of Hopkins and Margie Youtzy of Otsego, several nieces and nephews. Martin was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois and his second wife, Rose, 1 daughter, Paula, and 2 sisters, Pauline Huntington and Pat Lindsey. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday from 4-6pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm at Blackman Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Pastor Fred Perry will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Facility or Fresenius Renal Care and Dialysis Center.
