Grand Junction, MI, passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 at her home on Saddle Lake in Grand Junction. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Peace Lutheran Church, Blue Star Highway in South Haven, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Robert Linstrom, Rev. Edith Winter, and Chaplain Pat Weatherwax officiating. A luncheon will be served at the church following the service. Private interment Columbia Township Cemetery. Marjorie was born July 7, 1939, the daughter of Homer and Doris Haracourt. She was one of ten children. She graduated from Sand Creek in 1958. She married Robert Green and had five sons, Dr. Lee, Kenneth, Steven, James, and Rob. She was employed at St. Mary's Hospital in Livonia and Mack Truck's Regional Headquarters in Dearborn. She attended U of M, Dearborn. Maggie married Pastor Dean Beckwith in 1985 in Garden City. They moved to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington, IL. In Illinois, she volunteered at Eureka Hospital, enrolled at Central Illinois College, worked at the local bank, was elected to the local school board and served St. Mark's in many capacities, primarily with her musical talents. She and her husband retired from this active life to Saddle Lake in 1998. Marjorie is survived by 5 sons, 3 stepchildren, Dirk, Karen, and Kim; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 siblings. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Borgess Hospice of Kalamazoo or to Peace Lutheran Church in South Haven. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
