Allegan Twp., MI, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Smith was born October 1, 1922 in Allegan, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Connor) Thompson. She was a graduate of Allegan High School, class of 1941. Surviving are her husband, Walter; 5 children, Tom and Connie Smith of Allegan, Russell and Rose Smith of Zeeland, Mike Smith, Barbara Smith, and Pat Smith, all of Allegan; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, David, and 7 brothers and sisters. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allegan Food Pantry.
