Valley Twp., Allegan, MI, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at her home. Mrs. Oisten was born February 27, 1922 in Otsego, MI, the daughter of Arthur J. and Claress M. (Ames) Esseltine. She had been employed for 21 years at Michigan Fruit Canners, Fennville, retiring in 1982. She enjoyed camping, playing cribbage and yahtzee, and had bowled on two leagues until April of 2005. Surviving are 3 children and their spouses, Grace and Jim Richardson of Allegan, Dale A. and Candy Oisten of Otsego, and Peggy and John Kraak of Holland; 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton, daughter, Judith K. Massie, 4 great grandchildren and 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Friends may meet with the family from 11 a.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Pastors Barry Lucas and Mark Cramer officiating.
