Marion Joyce Smith, 93, of Allegan, Michigan, left this world to join her husband, Everette Jay Smith, in Heaven on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Alamo Nursing Home.  Born August 30, 1929 in St. Louis, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bessie (Banks) Luttrell.  Marion spent most of her working career at Rockwell International in Allegan.  After retiring from Rockwell, she went on to work at Allegan General Hospital as a Kitchen Aid.  Marion had a huge heart, she was a member of Grace Temple Church, and loved to volunteer at the food pantry for ACRDC, and as a Poll Worker during elections. She also served on the School Board and Library Board, as well as being a Cub Scout Den Mother.  Some of Marion's favorite activities included, gardening, bowling, cooking, crocheting, knitting or sewing.  Her fondest indulgent was chocolate; she had a wonderful sweet tooth for her chocolate!  Marion was a true treasure and made her family and those around her feel loved and appreciated.  Her commitment to her family was unmistakable and provides the best source of comfort to them now.

Marion is survived by her three children, LeRoy Smith, Blake Smith and Vicky Pritchett; three grandchildren, Summer (Randy) Sommerville, Paul (Shannon) Pritchett, and Mike (Livia) Pritchett; four great-grandchildren, Tywand, Everette Julius, NyAsia, and Talis; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband of 42 years, Everette, and her parents, Robert and Bessie, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Jerry Luttrell, Robert Luttrell and Marvin Luttrell.

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, at which time the funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marion's name to Rose Arbor Hospice, 5473 Croyden Avenue, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009.  The family wishes to thank Rose Arbor Hospice for the tender and loving care shown to Marion during her illness.
