Plainwell, MI, died Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at the Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Mrs. Arado was born May 30, 1917 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of John and Catherine (Campinosi) Monaco. She graduated from Immaculata High School and attended Clark College, while pursuing drama. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, singing, reading and attending church. She married Thomas C. Arado on May 6, 1939. Marion and her family were parishioners of St. Edmund's Church in Oak Park, IL. The family moved to River Forest, IL in 1956, and were long-time parishioners of St. Luke Church. Surviving are 3 children, Thomas C. Arado of Oak Park, IL, Cathy Arado of Ft. Morgan, CO and Jack (Mary Lou) Arado of Allegan; 4 grandchildren, Chad (Tammy) Arado, Erika (Joe) Kavanagh, Bret Arado and Abby Jane Arado; 1 brother, Raymond (Dodie) Monaco of Jacksonville, FL; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, her parents, brother, John, and sister, Patt. Cremation has taken place. Private graveside services will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice.
