Marilyn Jayne Allen, 74, of Hamilton, MI passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 at Wings Home in Allegan. Born November 10, 1944 in Holland, MI, she was the daughter of the late Owen John and Norma Esther (Phillips) Wakeman. She married Doulas Wesley Allen on April 15, 1966. Marilyn had a passion for serving people through ministry. She was dedicated to raising her family, serving in her church, and missions. She was a teacher, dorm parent, secretary and principal for many years at Bethany Christian Mission Center in Kentucky. She also served at Middleman Ministries with her husband Doug for many years in various capacities. She was a life time member and active participant of Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church. She centered her life around a relationship with Jesus Christ and she was a shining example of His love. Marilyn had worked as a teacher's aide for Hamilton High School prior to retirement. In addition to her husband of fifty-three years, she is survived by her children, Mary Jayne (Greg Malone) Allen, Max O. (Marybeth) Allen and Brad Allen; a sister, Carol (David) Cross; and six grandchildren, Isaac, Olivia, Rebecca, Rachel, Emilee and Jessica Allen. The family will receive friends at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A funeral service will take place Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor Mark Inman officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Hill Cemetery.
