Marie Ruth Nevenzel, Allegan, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 18, 2004 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility, where she had been cared for wonderfully for the past 14 months. Marie was born February 24, 1924 in Dunningville, Michigan, the daughter of James & Henrietta (Beltman) Nevenzel. She was a member of the Dunningville Reformed Church and had worked for over 15 years at Freidlens in Allegan. Surviving are her sister Mildred Novotny of Allegan, 2 sister in laws, Leona Nevenzel of Allegan and Gert Nevenzel of Holland, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister Jennie Slotman and her 2 brothers, Glenn and Lloyd Gene Nevenzel. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held at the Dunningville Reformed Church on Tuesday at 2pm with a visitation held 1 hr. prior to the service. Pastor Tim Tenclay will officiate. Interment Dunningville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Dunningville Reformed Church or the Allegan County Medical Care Facility.
