age 89, of Allegan, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Ely Manor, Allegan. She was born March 21, 1924 in Pischelsdorf, Austria, the daughter of Franz and Hedwig (Marterer) Kalcher. Maria was a lifetime member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was a hard worker. She retired as a shipping clerk from Crescent. Maria loved her garden, enjoyed knitting and was a great cook. She was very independent and stayed busy all the time. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Maria didn't start driving until she was 55 years old and never grew to enjoy it either. Maria is survived by her children: Justine (Larry) Billadeau, Stephen (Trudy) Fabijancic, daughter-in-law Christine Fabijancic; her grandchildren: Mike, Shelly, Brian, Michael, Bill Jr, Debbie, Andy, Kyle, Wyatt; her many great-grandchildren; and her sister Anni (Hans) Tondolo. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Valentin Fabijancic; her second husband Matt Havaich; and her son William Fabijancic. Friends may meet with the family for visitation on January 5, 2014 at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel from 3-5:00 P.M. Rosary will be at 2:30 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be January 6, 2014 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Allegan at 11:00 A.M. Celebrant is The Reverend Alan Jorgensen.
