Obituary

of Allegan, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Allegan County Medical Care Community. Mrs. Bloss was born April 25, 1918, in Dunningville, the daughter of Samuel and Julia (Metzger) Benson. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church, and was very involved in the Kids Hope Program. She was a teacher's aide at both Pine Trails and Westward Elementary Schools in Allegan for many years, as well as working at Haitt's in downtown Allegan for over 10 years. Her close friends and family knew her for her cooking and baking skills, which she loved to share. Surviving are her 2 daughters: Jean and Moe Milbocker, Kathy and Dick Caine; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Hale; her second husband, Pete Bloss; and 8 brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11 am, at Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor Robert Lynch will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Community.
