Allegan, MI, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Metron of Allegan. Mrs. Hipps was born September 17, 1926 in Allegan, the daughter of John and Addie (Knight) Landis. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and graduated from Allegan High School in 1944. She had worked at Pine Oaks Nursing Home (Metron) for more than 10 years as a nurse's aide. Surviving are 2 children, Jeff and Sharol Hipps of Allegan and Peggy and Tim Harvey of Gobles; 4 grandchildren, Greg, Troy, Deric and Colleen; 3 great grandchildren, Jessa, Ryan and Kaylyn; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, 1 son, Michael, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may meet with the family from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Pastor Joseph Phipps officiating. Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
