Cheshire Twp., MI, died Monday, October 13, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Cooley was born June 6, 1944 in Utica, MI, the daughter of George and Martha (Forstner) Remsing. She was a member of the Allegan Eagles Auxiliary and enjoyed flower gardening and fishing. Surviving are her husband, Charles R., whom she married Dec. 16, 1994; 3 children and their spouses, Doug and Linda Peters, Debbie and Steve Smith, and Dawn and Carl "Dan" Holister, all of Allegan; 2 stepchildren and their spouses, Penelope and Anthony Babbitt of Otsego and Nicolas and Margie Cooley of Fairhaven; 2 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; her mother, Martha Remsing of Cass City; 3 brothers and 3 sisters, George, Frank, Joseph, Helen, Mary, and Lena. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, James, John and Tom. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. Pastor Lester Putney officiating.
