of Allegan, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at the Bronson Methodist Hospital, in Kalamazoo. Marcia was born April 8, 1930, in Allegan Twp., the daughter of the late, Francis and Arvada (Hall) Shimmons. Marcia graduated from Allegan High School, Class of 1948. Roland and Marcia raised their family in their home in Cheshire twp., where they lived all of their life. Marcia loved to sew, quilt, and crochet; planted and tended her garden, and canned her harvest. She enjoyed watching wildlife and feeding hummingbirds. She was a fun loving lady, who loved her family and friends, and will be dearly missed by all. Surviving are her devoted husband of 60 years, Roland; 4 children: Jody and Mike Wagner, Ronnie Wait, Steven and Laura Wait, Fred Wait; 6 grandchildren: Erin, Sean and Kourtney, Megan, Jessica, Haley, Kyle; 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Marva Chappell, Mardell McVey, Myrna Shimmons; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Mona Giles. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Morse. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, July 16, from 3-7 pm, at the Trowbridge Twp. Hall, 913 M-40 South, Allegan, for a casual gathering and a time of sharing.
