Obituary

Madeline "Peggy" Miniat, of Kalamazoo, died Friday, May 28, 2004 at the Friendship Village at Woodside. Mrs. Miniat was born June 2, 1912 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of John J. & Pauline (Feden) Covyeau. Peggy was a pioneer in the business world, she was a stock broker for several years, owned and operated a travel agency and traveled around the world. The legacy she leaves her family is , independence, and forward thinking, she will be sadly missed. Surviving are her 2 children; J. Glenn & Sue Miniat of Kalamazoo and Meredith Farris of Florida, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Pauline Sando of Nevada, 1 son in law, Ray & Ardes Nahikian of Allegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and her daughter, Lynn Nahikian. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 pm. Pastor Dean Beckwith will officiate. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimers Association.
