age 92, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 in Allegan, Michigan. She was born August 24, 1921 in South Holland, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Mae (Verkaik) Carlson. Mabelle is survived by her children: Robert (Kathryn) Kooy, Russell (Sandra) Kooy, Randall Kooy, Richard (Gwen) Kooy; her grandchildren: Kenneth (Deborah), Kimberly, Coriann (Avashkar), Juliann (Jamie), Suzanne (Ethan), Erica (Charles), Kurtis (Jane), Daniel (Whitney) Timothy; her great-grandchildren: Amanda, Morgan, Sean, Zeke, Abby, Bekah; her brother Marvin (Kathy) Carlson; her sister-in-law Dorothea Carlson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Allan, her son Warren Kooy, her grandson Kevin, her brothers Clarence and Walter Jr, and her sisters Margaret, Ruth, and Beulah. Friends may join the family for a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at Watson Bible Church, 1626 116th Avenue, Otsego, Michigan 49078. Pastor Tim Farley will be officiating. Interment is at Lee Cemetery, Lee Township, Michigan.
