Allegan, MI, died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at his home. Mr. Wedge was born November 19, 1928 in Allegan, the son of Howard and Marion (Bond) Wedge. He started Wedge Office Machines in Allegan in 1969, retiring in 1990, with the store now being operated by his son, Ed. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Allegan Eagles #2315. He was a "great" grandfather and enjoyed his family, cooking, being outdoors and watching birds. Surviving are his wife, Rose (Fontinha), whom he married Oct. 6, 1951; 5 children, Sharon Mathieu of Allegan, Theresa (Scott) Pederson of Kentwood, Sandra (Terry) Brooks of Douglas, Edward (Jen) Wedge of Allegan and Matthew (Chelsea) Wedge of Wyoming; 8 grandchildren, Sonya Mathieu, Sean, Katie and Kirsten Pederson, Naomi and Kyle Moeller, Prestyn Wedge, and Zoey Wedge; 2 great grandchildren, Jadin and Mia Reed.; 1 brother, Gordon (Jean) Wedge of Centreville; 2 sisters, Irene (Robert) Goodrich of Traverse City and Nancy (Larry) Minegar of Otsego; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, June 11, at 11:00 am at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Allegan. Rev. Fr. Jerome M. Heyman, O.S.A. Celebrant.
