of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Age 68 years. He was born May 17, 1942, the son of the late William and Juanita (Dietz) Seelye. He retired from Barber Creek Sand and Gravel. He was married to Joyce Seelye, she preceded him in death in July of 2008. He then married Laura Seelye on August 28, 2010; she survives him. Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Jean and Rodney Kogler of Pierson, Jacqueline and Bruce Bowen of Howard City and Susan and Henry Benedict of Howard City; one son, Robert Seelye of Wyoming; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul and Kathy Seelye of Hastings and Wayne Seelye of Clarksville; two sisters, Sally LaPree of Grant and Mary and Fred Merritt of East Jordan; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three step-children, Kathryn, Richard and Russell, all of Allegan; and 16 step-grandchildren. Lyle was also preceded in death by his 2 son's, Daniel W., and Joseph M. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor David Hatfield will officiate.
