Mrs. Nimmo was born November 30, 1929, in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of Robert and Gladys (Mathews) Carter. Surviving are her children, Rick and Gale Padgett of Utah, Sandy and Dennis Spaulding of Allegan, and Belinda and Doug Reynolds of Oregon, 9 grandchildren, Kimberly, Shawn, Doug Jr., Seth, Bonni, Steve, Greg, Brandy and Amber, 21 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Frances Musclewhite of LA. Lula was preceded in death by her husband, William and her brother, Buddy. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility from 1 pm until service time at 2 pm. Elder Roger Subacz will officiate. Private interment at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Facility or Wings of Hope Hospice.
