aged 85, of Allegan, MI, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 14, 2004. Mrs. Gibson was born February 20, 1918 in Allegan Twp., MI, the daughter of Edwin and Stella (Blanchard) Wynne. She was a life long resident of Allegan and a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church. She served as a deacon, sang in the choir and was a member of the ladies' circles. She was very active in the Allegan Lady Lions, the Allegan Music Club and the Womens' History Class. She was also a talented artist, a wonderful cook, and a favorite hostess to her card club for many years. Surviving are her loving husband of 63 years, William "Woodie"; her children, Woodie, Jr. and Barbara J. Gibson of Dorr, Gregory Gibson of Allegan, and Fred and Barbara A. Gibson of Plainwell; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Ardath McNutt of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. Pastor Joseph Phipps officiating. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
