of Allegan, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born November 18, 1925, in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of Thomas and Vera (Billman) Bemis. Lucetta graduated from Allegan High School in 1944, she attended Western Michigan University and transferred to Michigan State where she earned her Bachelors Degree. She received her Masters from Western Michigan University. Lucetta taught school for over 20 years at both Dawson and Pine Trails. She was a life member of United Methodist Church, where she served on the Board and taught Sunday School. She volunteered her time and talent with many organizations, past president of Dollars for Scholars, BPW, and was a Lioness. Surviving are her husband, William, 3 children, William and Heather Johnson, of Grand Rapids, Grant and Mary Johnson of Allegan and Robin Johnson of Washington State, 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Cody, Andrea, Ryan and Regan, 2 great grandchildren, Caleb and Bradley, 5 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren, 1 brother, Thomas and Jenny Bemis III of North Carolina, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Brad, and her sister, Lucille Smith. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 am at the United Methodist Church in Allegan. Pastor Robert Stover will officiate. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
