Louis W. Thompson, 73 of Allegan, died Saturday, June 1, 2002 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Mr. Thompson was born December 16, 1928 in Kalamazoo, MI the son of John and Atha (Kridler) Thompson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Allegan Metal Finishing in 1995 after 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Virginia, 3 children; Genese & Dan Harvey of Indiana, Dianne & Floyd McEwen of Otsego, Terry Thompson of Otsego, 4 stepchildren; Leo & Sue Bloom of Allegan, Ginger & Steve McNees of Texas, James & Bobbie Bloom of Ohio, Randy Bloom of Allegan, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Virgil Thompson of Tennessee, 1 sister, Lillian Gleason of Plainwell. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-7 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. A graveside service will be held Tuesday 10:00 am at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
