went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday July 31, 2010, at Briarwood Assisted Living in Allegan. Mr. TerAvest was born July 30, 1916, in Hamilton, the son of John and Elizabeth (Schaap) TerAvest. Louis was a member of the Allegan Wesleyan Church for many years. He was a farmer all of his life, he was involved for many years with the 4-H, County Commision, sexton at Hudson Corners Cemetery, and loved to support Allegan Sports, and will be sadly missed on the bleachers in Allegan. Surviving are his 3 children; Larry and Carol TerAvest of Allegan, Linda and Gary Wierenga of Caledonia and Bill and Sandy TerAvest of Allegan, 2 step children, Rick and Tami Bailey of IN and Cindy Harris of Chicago, 7 grandchildren, Kris and Cory Thede, Todd and Beth TerAvest, Chad and Michele TerAvest, Charlie and Leah TerAvest, Sara and Dayton Walker, Nick and Lauren Bailey and Ashley Bailey, 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Geraldine, his 2nd wife, Betty, 2 children, Betty and John, 2 sisters, Hazel Immink and Julieanna Dolan, and his brother, Gerald. Private burial has taken place at Hudson Corners Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, August 15, 2010, at the Allegan Wesleyan Church, from 2-5 pm where a memorial service will be held at 5 pm.
