Allegan, MI, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Porter was born October 13, 1927 in Cooper Twp.,the daughter of Leon and Martha (Verrill) Wood. She was a graduate of Otsego High School Class of 1945. She was a member of IAAM. Lottie prepared income tax returns and accounting services out of her home for more than 50 years. She loved to go out to eat, collect antiques, and make trips to the casino. Surviving are 4 children, Ruth & Lew Barton of Otsego, Rich Porter of Allegan, Vivian & Tom McMahon of Mattawan and Quinten Keech of Allegan; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Sally & Bill Oge of Otsego; 1 sister-in-law, Frances Wood of Otsego; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, son, Leon, daughter, Dorothy, granddaughter, Tracy and brother, Robert Wood. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Memorials may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
