Hopkins Twp., MI, died Monday, April 18, 2005 at Metron of Allegan. Mrs. Baird was born August 25, 1915 in Marion, MI, the daughter of Walter and Clara Elizabeth (Long) Thompson. She had been a member of the Mayflower Society. Surviving are her husband, Charles, whom she married March 21, 1935; 5 children, and their spouses, James and Karen Baird of Arlington Lakes, IL, Shirley and George Lagos of Pensacola, FL, Daniel and Margie Baird of Allegan, Gerald and Betty Baird of North Carolina, Richard and Debra Baird of Hopkins; 16 grandchildren; many great, and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. There will be no visitation. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Lowell.
