83, of Hopkins, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Allegan County Medical Care Community in Allegan. Lois was born on January 5, 1932, the daughter of Peter and Jennie (Bos) Roon. She was a graduate of Hopkins High School, Class of 1950, and went on to graduate from the Butterworth School of Nursing. Lois spent 30 years as a dedicated and caring nurse at Allegan General Hospital. She was devoted to her family and friends, along with her church family at Hopkins Community Reformed Church, where she was a lifetime member. Surviving are her husband, Charles "Gene" Norman; 4 children, Pam and Bob Hennip, Annette and Bill Hennip, Dennis and Ruth Ann Norman, Phillip and Lucy Norman; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alvira Kramer; 2 brothers, Bud and Bill; and 1 great grandson, James Porter. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, October 5, 2015, from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, and on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, from 10-11 am at the Hopkins Community Reformed Church, where the service will be held at 11 am. Interment will be at Dorr Cemetery in Dorr.
