Lois Mae Belanger was born on June 30th, 1926 to Neal and Alice (Bos) Flora, and was reunited with family and friends as she entered her eternal dwelling on August 28th, 2026 at Golden Orchards in Fennville, Michigan. She was 100 years old.

She served faithfully as a Junior Church Teacher for 25 years at Merson Bible Church. In her early years, she worked at Gibson’s and Shakespeare’s in Kalamazoo. She later began working at and retiring from Allegan Public Schools.

Lois loved canning, gardening, camping, and lighthouses. She would spend hours at Lake Michigan just listening to the waves and enjoying peace and beauty. Her greatest love, however, was spending time and holidays at the family home located on Baseline Road.

Lois is survived by her son, Marlon and his wife, Carol Gren; daughter-in-law, Natilee Belanger; three grandchildren, Cathy Gren, Cheryl (Kevin) Nickerson, and Jeffrey (Colleen) Belanger; one great-grandchild, William Nickerson; and one great-great-grandson, Silas Nickerson.

Lois was preceded in death by her son, Paul Belanger; and great-grandson, Caleb Nickerson.

Cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends for a visitation from 11am-12pm with a memorial service to follow on Monday September 21st, 2026, at Merson Bible Church.
