Heath Twp., Allegan, MI, died Friday, June 13, 2003 at Borgess Medical Center. Mr. Nevenzel was born March 28, 1926 in Dunningville, MI, the son of James and Henrietta (Beltman) Nevenzel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Dunningville Reformed Church. He had been employed with Carl Goodwin Road Construction for many years and was a member of the Operating Engineers for 50 years. Surviving are his wife, Leona "Onie"; 3 children, Beverly and Thomas Lieven of Wisconsin, Bernard "Bud" and Linda Nevenzel, and Shirley Nevenzel, all of Allegan; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mildred Novotny and Marie Nevenzel, both of Allegan; sister-in-law, Gertrude Nevenzel; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn, and sister, Jennie Slotman. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Dunningville Reformed Church. Pastor Tim Tenclay officiating. Interment Dunningville Cemetery, Heath Twp.
