of Hamilton, age 77, died Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Mr. Brinkhuis was born June 28, 1939, in Overisel Twp. the son of Benjamin and Betty (Ver Lee) Brinkhuis. Lloyd graduated from Holland Christian High School, Class of 1957, and had worked for Pilgrim Farms in Bentheim for over 20 years, and most recently worked for the Hamilton Community Schools as a janitor for over 10 years. He was a member of the Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church. He loved to farm and plant and tend to his garden. Surviving are his wife, Florence; his 4 son's: Steven Brinkhuis, Timothy and Karla Brinkhuis, Leon Brinkhuis, Rick and Shannon Brinkhuis; 8 grandchildren: Steven and Sarah Brinkhuis, Shane, Shelby, Carrie and Nick Lambright, Matthew, Cody, Collin, and Kyle; 2 great grandchildren: Cameron, Allie; 2 sisters: Audrey and Bob Meiste, Marian Brinkhuis; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at the Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am. Pastor Mark Inman will officiate. Interment will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. Memorials may be made to the Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church, 3562 135th Ave., Hamilton 49419.
