Lisa Ann Jorgens, age 52, of Holland, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026 at Resthaven Care Center with family at her bedside following a long battle with cancer. Lisa was born on March 7, 1973 to Michael and Sally Jorgens in Allegan, Michigan.

Lisa maintained her infectious smile, kindness, and inner strength up until the end. Lisa was an inspiration to others and loved competitive sports, music, and animals. She recently enjoyed pet visits from Hospice of Holland volunteers bringing therapy dogs Etta and Henry for visits.

Lisa graduated from Allegan High School. She achieved many awards for tennis with her doubles partner Jen winning Conference, Regionals, and State semi-finals twice. She received a tennis scholarship from KVCC where she played singles and doubles for two years and the team earned a trip to the Nationals in Tyler, Tx. After playing tennis for KVCC Lisa coached the JV girls tennis at Mattawan High School. Following KVCC Lisa transferred to WMU and entered the social work program following her dream of working to help others. She began her battle with cancer at age 20 which interrupted her career goals. During times of remission she enjoyed many vacations including Caribbean cruises, trips to Ixtapa, Mexico, San Diego, Disney World and beach vacations with family in Florida including parasailing and snorkeling.

Lisa is survived by her parents Sally Jorgens of Holland and Michael {Jean} Jorgens of Holland, brother Scott (Marla) Jorgens of Macomb, Mi, nieces Samantha Jorgens, Alexandra Jorgens, and nephews Lucas Jorgens, and Steven Jorgens. Lisa is also survived by her aunts, uncle, cousins, and so many that touched her life along her journey.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gorden Funeral Residence, 528 Trowbridge Street, Allegan. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Lisa will be laid to rest privately in Robinson Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland, 270 Hoover Blvd, Holland, MI 49423.
