Linus John Heibel, 73, of Dorr, MI, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 peacefully at home. Born November 2, 1949 in Zeeland, he was the son of the late Cletus and Margaret (Rewa) Heibel and the husband of Nancy (Balzeski) Heibel. Linus was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Visitation Catholic Church and had worked as the school custodian, as well as working as an auto mechanic. Linus's true callings, however, were farming and classic vehicle restoration; passions he pursued throughout his life.

In addition to his wife of twenty-eight years, he is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Chismar, Ruth Striegle, Tarsie Thompson and Marian Richardson. Linus was preceded in death by his sister, Monica England, his parents, and his brothers-in-law Gene and Jimmy Balzeski.

The family will receive friends at St. Mary's Visitation Catholic Church on Monday, June 12, 2023 beginning at 10:00 AM. The Rosary will be recited at 10:45 AM and Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM. Linus will be laid to rest immediately following in the church cemetery, with a luncheon afterwards at the church hall. Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, is assisting the Heibel family with arrangements.
