Obituary

Linda Sue Loveland, 68, of Allegan, MI passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 peacefully and unexpectedly at her home. Born December 16, 1948 in Palo Alto, CA, she was the daughter of the late Leslie B. and June Florence (Oliver) Thompson. She was the wife of David William Loveland. Family was the priority in Mrs. Loveland's life. Whether it was spending many years as a Girl Scout Leader to be with her girls or spending time with her grandsons, she was happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved. Mrs. Loveland had been known to also enjoy a shopping trip every now and then, especially when she was looking for a new handbag or pair of shoes or collectable frog statues. In her spare time, she could be found relaxing and reading. In addition to her husband of 46 years, Mrs. Loveland is survived by her daughters, Hilery Loveland (Cathy Gren) and Katee (Jeff) Haaksma; grandsons, Ryker and Graysen; sisters-in-law, Bea Anderson and Carolyn Loveland; cousins, Karen Davis and Marilyn Hoffman; and her faithful canine companion, Deeogee. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM with a memorial service to immediately follow. Luncheon arrangements will be announced at the service. Memorial contributions to the West Michigan Cancer Center (Attn: Development, 200 Park Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49007) are appreciated.
