Linda Lea Wykstra, 72, of Martin, MI, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Allegan County Medical Care Community. Born October 25, 1948 to Paul and Elene Plank, Linda grew up in Holt, MI. She met her husband, Earl Wykstra, on a blind date in 1970 and they married a year later. Linda went to Alma College before graduating from Bronson School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Allegan Medical Care facility for forty-two years prior to retiring in 2014. Linda loved gardening and flowers. She enjoyed reading books and doing different types of crafts such as stained glass, quilting, painting and ceramics. Linda also enjoyed traveling and camping with her friends and family. She especially loved to travel with her Aunt Hazel. Linda was a member of East Martin Christian Reformed Church. She is survived by her husband, Earl; two children, Jennifer (Chuck) Moore and John (Libby) Wykstra; her five loving grandchildren, Cassandra (Chase), Caleb, Trey, Dakota and Emma; and a great-grandson, Clifford. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A memorial service will take place at East Martin Christian Reformed Church on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM with visitation at the church for one hour prior.
