Allegan Twp., MI, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Mrs. Davis was born Aug. 20, 1926 in Cheshire Twp., MI, the daughter of Lester and Lydia (Trimm) Gleason. She attended Merson Church and had been employed at Imperial Carving for 28 years, retiring in 1986. Lillian enjoyed her family and grandchildren, music, flowers, games, crocheting for Hospice, and mushroom hunting on Mother's Day. Though her laughter and love will be missed by her friends and family, we celebrate her life and rejoice in her homegoing. Surviving are 2 sons and their wives, Robert and Jan Davis of Martin and Marshall and Pat Davis of Allegan; daughter-in-law, Katherine Davis, of Martin; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 brother and his wife, Don and Linda Gleason and 1 sister and her husband, Ermajean and Dale Madison, all of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil, in 1994 and son, Carl, in 2002. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Gail Pike officiating.
