Lila Elaine (Grimm) Lowman, 72, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. She was born to Fred and Isabelle (Sutton) Grimm on May 8, 1952. She met the love of her life Richard Lowman on her birthday in 1975, and they were married one year later. She loved spending time with family and calling to check on them to make sure they were doing okay. She had a kind heart but never wanted her size to fool you. She had a great love for all animals and especially enjoyed sitting on her front porch watching all the deer and turkeys and yes, she named them all. She waited anxiously for football season so she could watch the Lions with her son Richard. Lila loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews dearly.

She is survived by her husband Richard Lowman; children James Jr. (Judy) Hopkins, Richard Jr. Lowman, and Suzanne (Kevin) Lowman; brother Virgil Grimm; sister-in-law, Shirley Knapp; grandchildren Hayli (Matt) Dangremond, Nicholas Hopkins, Luke Hopkins, and Kira Kinzler; great-grandchildren Charlotte Dangremond, and Evelyn Dangremond.

She is preceded by her parents Frederick and Isabelle (Sutton) Grimm; and siblings Fred Grimm, Albert Grimm, and Christine White.

Lila will have a graveside only service this Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00am in Poplar Hill Cemetery 2650-2672 30th Street, Allegan, MI 49010.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Allegan County Animal Shelter 2293 33rd Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
