of Hopkins, died Sunday, September 9, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Chrisman was born March 13, 1931, in Grand Rapids, the son of Frank and Henrietta ( Cook) Chrisman. Lewis was a dairy farmer in the Hopkins area for over 30 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Surviving are his wife, Cleo, 3 children; Lewis Jr. and Susie Chrisman, Randy Chrisman, Janet Ontiveros, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Doris Reil, Joyce Nauseida, Frannie and George Bradshaw, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his 4 brothers; Tom, Frank, Marv, and Bob, 2 sisters; Hazel and Elsie, and his daughter-in-law, Karen. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, September 12, from 6-8 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. A private graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Twp. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice.
