Monterey Twp., MI, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Walthorn was born November 10, 1913 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Henry and Anna (Motman) Walthorn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the 138th Engineers Combat Battalion in Germany during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Bradley, MI. He retired from Reynolds Aluminum of Grand Rapids in 1976 after 25 years of service. Surviving are 2 daughters, Marilyn Greig and Jose Ramirez of Otsego and Loretta and George Greig of Allegan; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Marian, a grandson, David Lester Havens and 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may meet with the family for 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. Pastor Vern Lussenden officiating. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp., Michigan. Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ in Bradley.
