LeRoy N. Steffen, age 66 of Allegan, MI, died Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Metron of Allegan. Mr. Steffen was born March 19, 1938 in Hopkins, MI, the son of Henry and Eleanor (Nevett) Steffen. He loved people and was very kind and also loved animals. He was a very dedicated employee of Allegan Tubular Products for 44 A½ years, retiring in 2003. Surviving are 1 brother and 2 sisters, Philip Steffen of Allegan, Margaret (Raymond) VanderVere of Tacoma, WA, and Martha Webster of South Haven; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, David. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Fr. William R. Whiting officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorial contributions may be to the American Lung Association.
