Obituary

of Comstock Park, formerly of Wayland, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Corder was born October 24, 1944, in Buchanan, the daughter of Ralph E. and Dorothy G. (Bowyer) Kuhl. She graduated from Wayland High School, and had worked as a cook for many restaurants over the years, and retired from General Motors in Wyoming, as a cook in the cafeteria in the mid-90's. Surviving are her 2 children; Diane Slone of Baldwin, Donna and Scott Jones of Walker, 4 step daughters, Pat and Rick Kolender of Wyoming, Carol and Dan Mitchell of Maine, Tracy and Joe Scheid of Grand Rapids, and Sue and Bill VerHulst of Wyoming, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, 1 brother, Ed and Rosemary Kuhl of Wayland, 1 sisiter, Josephine Brand of Shelbyville, 2 step sisters, Jackie Hildebrand of Romulus, and Sheryl and Bobby Perkins of GA, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Coder, son, Dale Stevens, grandson, Brian Sloan. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, May 13, 2011, from 4-7 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. There will be no funeral service. Private burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayland.
