Holland, MI, formerly of Allegan, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at the Appledoorn Living Center in Holland. Mrs. Coffey was born November 1, 1918 in Allegan, the daughter of Halsey & Helena (Hoppenrath) Ochampaugh. She attended the Community Church in Douglas and owned & operated Coffey's Restaurant in Allegan & Fennville for many years. Surviving are 4 children and their spouses, Robert & Mary Coffey of Lawrence, Jeanne & Tom Phelps of Saugatuck, Joe & Linda Coffey of Ann Arbor and Kim & Alan Martin of Fennville; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 brother and his wife, Donald & Doris Ochampaugh of Allegan; 1 sister, Helen Funk of Allegan; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene, and her second husband, Robert, and 4 sisters. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 3-5 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Dan Miller officiating. Interment Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Community Church in Douglas or Hospice of Holland.
