Allegan, MI, died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Faith Hospice, Trillium Woods. Mr. Avery was born August 25, 1938 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He had graduated from Grand Rapids Junior College in 1975 and had worked as a security officer for Wrather Corp. in Long Beach, CA. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan and the Knights of Columbus. He had served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are 1 daughter and her husband, Trena and Brad Wagner of Nebraska; 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianna, in 2007 There will be no local services.
