Plainwell, formerly of Allegan, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002 at the Lifecare Center of Plainwell. Mrs. Huff was born April 20, 1921 in Carey, OH, the daughter of Orange and Cora (Wenslow) Clemens. Surviving are 7 children and their spouses, Stella and David Peabody and Dianna and David Ballman, all of Plainwell, Wanda and Carl Burkhead of Tennessee, James and Melva Thayer of Gobles, Josephine Newman of Utah, Ralph and Kathy Lindsey of Indiana and Michael and Nolene Lindsey of Gobles; 3 stepchildren, Donald and Beverly Huff, Eleanor and Alden Nielsen, and Carolyn and Philip Himmelein, all of Allegan; 1 sister, Elsie Whitmore of Athens; 1 son-in-law, Robert (Sandy) Rankin of Allegan; 29 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, in 1988, and 2 daughters, Mary and Pat. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Pastor Joseph Spackman officiating.
