of Kalamazoo, formerly of Allegan, died Thursday, September 6, 2012, at her daughter's home in Kalamazoo. Leah was born June 10, 1913, in Allegan Twp., the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Sprague) Adams. Leah graduated from Allegan High School in 1933. She married Art Tischer in 1956, and he preceded her in death in 1993. Together they owned and operated a Registered Jersey farm in the Allegan area for many years. She was a past member of the Rebekah Lodge, and had worked for Frost Casket in Allegan for 20 years, as well as working for Dr. Wellman in his Veterinarian Practice, and spent several years at the Long and Moore Dime Store. She enjoyed all kinds of needle work, crocheting, knitting, loved to paint, and enjoyed being outdoors. Surviving are her daughter, Marlene and Michael Pryson, 4 grandchildren; Pamela Cobb, Briana Pryson, Joel Pryson, Mikelle Martin, 1 great grandson, Patrick Martin, many nieces and nephews, special friends, Shirley and Dale Jipping. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Brian Cobb, and 6 brothers, and 6 sisters. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, September 10, from 12 noon till service time at 1 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, Pastor Jim Dyke, from Saint Andrew, will officiate.
