Lawrence L. Brown, Allegan, died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Rose Arbor in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Mr. Brown was born February 26, 1923 in Fennville, MI, the son of Ernest & Melissa (Bushee) Brown. He graduated from Allegan High School Class of 1941 and attended Michigan State University. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. He farmed in the Allegan area for many years, owned & operated Browns Unico Gas Station and also worked at the Feed Mill in Plainwell for several years. He was a member of the Draft Horse & Mule Club. Surviving are his brother, Calvin "Tink" Brown of Allegan; several nieces, nephews, great, and great-great nieces & nephews, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy; and 3 children, Larry, Butch and Kathy; 5 brothers and 1 sister. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel,where services will be held on Monday at 1 pm. Pastor Gail Pike will officiate. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy, American Cancer, or Wings of Hope Hospice.
