of Hopkins, died Monday, October 19, 2009 at his home. Mr. Arndt was born December 25, 1923, in Grand Rapids, the son of Otto and Clara (Hoop) Arndt. He owned and operated Trusco Water Conditioning for over 40 years. Vern was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served during WWII.. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hopkins. Surviving are his wife, Virginia, 3 children, Lon and Dawn Arndt, Tim Arndt and Jamie and Shiloh Arndt, all of Hopkins, 9 grandchildren, Tim II, Dan, David, Tyler, Kristi, Becki, Scott, Andrew and Morgen, 2 great grandchildren, Kaleigh and Tim III, 1 brother, Chester Arndt , 4 sisters, Marion Rosendahl, Ruby Blair, Evelyn Klein and Ruth Gosko, all of Grand Rapids, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Lori Arndt and Tamara Delp, 2 grandchildren, Brandy and Toni II, 1 brother, Victor, 1 sister, Erma Kraft, son-in-law, Toni Delp. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday from 6 -8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 am at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hopkins. Pastor Donald Seelhoff will officiate. Interment in the Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Church or the Wings of Hope Hospice.
