Allegan, MI, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002 at Metron of Allegan. Mr. Austin was born Jan. 2, 1913 in Allegan, the son of Edwin and Ella (Hopkins) Austin. He had retired from Rockwell Int'l. Surviving are 2 children, Sandra Hodge and Gary and Sharon Austin, all of Allegan; 7 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, daughter, Sally Thran, grandson, Dale Hodge, granddaughter, Becky Thran, 1 brother and 1 sister. Friends may meet with the family from 4 p.m. Saturday until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Don Miller officiating.
