Laura B. Beck, 96 of Hopkins, died Monday, January 21, 2002 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Beck was born April 14, 1905 in Salem Township, MI the daughter of Arthur and Isabelle (Simmons) Green. Surviving are 8 children; Alice Bartram of Wyoming, Leona & Gene Nevenzel of Allegan, Lila Harnish of Grand Rapids, Viola & Robert McEwen, Lucille Larr, Daniel Beck, Robert & Judy Beck all of Hopkins, Gail & Stan Emelander of Hudsonville, 1 daughter-in-law; Miriam Abraham of Tennessee, 29 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, 1 sister-in-law, Nellie Weber of Allegan. She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1987, and 2 sons, Bernard and James. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where services will be held Friday 10:00 a.m. Mr. Comer Skinner speaking.
