Kristy is survived by her mother, Janet Dickerson, and preceded in death by her "true" father, Jerry Larson. She was blessed to be loved by a large family, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews. Dickersons, Larsons, Jacus', Millers, Thayers, DeKams, and Brindleys - she loved you all.

Kristy taught Humanities and Philosophy classes at Kalamazoo Valley Community College for 24 years. She worked hard to teach her students to think critically about their lives and the world around them. In her life, she captured moments of art and natural beauty with her camera, envisioning her own story through her editing and when she needed the moment to have immortality, she did so by way of "old school" photo developing. The developed film allowed her the ability to tell her story from her soul's perspective and share it with others. For years she participated in workshops and classes at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. Finding beauty through art was never lost on her - she so generously shared her findings, creations, and what she had learned. She was fierce about her love, strong and wise as any knowledgeable woman could hope to be, free spirited and unafraid of her future, and a dear and gentle friend to our Mother Earth.

Peace be with you my dear loving sister- on swift wings may you soar among the twinkling stars of your soul's essence while leaving sparkling lights drifting in your wake like that of thousands of downy feathers drifting ever so slowly downward that make landing upon those of us left behind in hopes that we may feel the tickle of your soul on the end of our noses and recognize the touch of your love and forever-lasting light

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Silo in Allegan from 4 to 7 PM.  Donations may be made to the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center, 8450 N 43rd St #9651, Augusta, MI  49012.
