Obituary

Allegan, MI, formerly of Byron Center, died Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital. Mr. Roberts was born May 29, 1930 in Pikeville, Kentucky, the son of Henry and Laura (Epling) Roberts. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He worked for more than 30 years with Cordura Rubber Company/ Paulstra in Grand Rapids. On August 20, 1956, Kermit married Darlene (Hudson), who survivies. Also surviving are his children, Randy and Marcy Roberts of Kentwood, Kenny and Sandra Roberts of Middleville, Shari and Steve Danz and Donna and Tom Owen all of Allegan; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Jennis and Dora Roberts of Jenison and 1 sister, Elsie Mae Mullins of Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Vivian and Erma. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Military graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Allegan, by Otsego VFW Post 3030. Memorials may be made to the Roberts family, checks payable to Darlene Roberts.
