70, of Allegan, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his home. Kenneth was born December 8, 1942 in Allegan, Michigan, the son of Howard C Strand and Miriam Brownell. Kenneth graduated from Allegan High School in 1961. He was a longtime member of First Church of God, Allegan, which he had served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Kenneth was also a member of the Kal-Creek Kickers Dance Team. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a member of the Western Michigan Pistol League for over 25 years and was an avid hunter. Kenneth had been employed by The Michigan Air National Guard Base for over 25 years, and served in the Air Guard for 30 years, having retired in 2003. Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife Joyce; his children: Monica Strand, Tammy (Steve) Rasmussen, Jeff (Kelly) Strand, Keith (Tania) Strand, Kenny (Wendy) Green, Tim (Lori) Green, Denny (Leisa) Green, Richie (Melissa) Green; his 22 grandchildren; his 10 great-grandchildren; his sisters: Cheryl (Tim) Jones, Luann (Dave) Upton, Jackie (Brett) Gable, Frances Sloan; Jack (Judy) Strand, Duane (Marie) Strand; sister-in-laws: Lenora (Bob) Griffen, Becky Warner; Brother-in-laws: Wilfred (Joyce) Christman, Kenneth (Judy) Warner, David (Fran) Warner; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother Miriam and his step-mother Nyla. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 12-2:00 P.M. at First Church of God, Allegan, with the Funeral at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Don Hendrick will be officiating.
